The Perfect Paleo Powder

The Perfect Paleo Powder

Have you heard of the new protein powder, the Perfect Paleo Powder by Clovis Nutrition? This stuff is quite unique. Not another whey, egg white or egg protein powder. It is also not another hemp or even a pea protein powder. There is NOTHING like this on the market! Think of a delicious powder packed with anti-oxidants, natural B vitamins, prebiotic fiber and get this: loaded with clean proteins such as salmon, chicken and beef. You have to check this out!

I have been drinking the Perfect Paleo Powder with water or our powerhouse recipe (below), with a double shot of espresso, ice and a tad bit of water. OMG this stuff is incredible! Of course like most powders it comes with its basic and easy-to-make instructions, sans the espresso.

Here are a few key points that appeal to me about this powder: it does not need refrigeration; it’s terrific for pre- or post-recovery (from working out) and great for when you’re just hungry; the body digests it easily; it’s non GMO, doesn’t contain soy or soy derivatives, contains organic fruits and vegetables, is gluten-free and tastes great. The powder is sweetened with date sugar, which is a low glycemic ingredient, greater than 70% sucrose and less than 10% glucose and fructose. Sounds better and better, right?!

The Perfect Paleo Powder is a food. It’s so pure that, according to the FDA, the company (ClovisNutrition) can’t legally call it a supplement. According to Merriam Webster a food is: material consisting essentially of protein, carbohydrate and fat used in the body of an organism to sustain growth, repair, and vital processes and to furnish energy. So this protein powder in a nutshell just rocks!

I highly recommend you try this. Check out the Perfect Paleo Powder at the Clovis Nutrition website: http://www.clovisnutrition.com/. You will not be sorry. I don’t feel this is a great protein supplement for anyone who is sedentary. It just contains too much high quality nutrition and energy for someone not active. I also do not consider it a weight loss supplement and they don’t either.

I shared my powder with others:

I found it tasted rich and very chocolatey. Not like other protein powders I’ve had which taste chalky and dry. The texture was smooth when whipped up in the blender. Although, some of the powder did settle to the bottom when left standing for only a few minutes leaving the last of my drink with too much settlement.

I also could feel that I was absorbing the protein without the use of enzymes that I have to take with Whey Protein Powders. The powder was the right sweetness, and for me that requires a lot, but it wasn’t overly sweet. It satisfied my hunger for hours and was a great breakfast substitute. – Alan Wayne

My husband came up with the below as his morning recipe to fuel up before hitting the pool to swim several miles.
