Tomorrow is International Picnic Day and since food is such an important part of the picnic, I could not wait to share this very simple and delicious paleo and gluten-free bread recipe with you!
Tigernut bread is delicious, perfectly moist and it’s 100% gluten-free and nut-free and is made with Organic Gemini tigernut flour, which is packed with protein and fiber. Why is tigernut flour so good for you? This unique flour provides all of the many benefits and the same nutty, slightly sweet flavor as tigernuts (an incredible superfood) and is the perfect replacement for white flour. Plus, Organic Gemini’s flour is produced in their own certified USDA organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, vegan, gluten-free and raw facility in Brooklyn, NYC. 100% organic tigernuts passing through machinery that’s dedicated gluten-free, grain-free, soy-free, peanut-free, nut-free, tree-nut free, dairy-free and egg-free – sounds ideal to me!
Tigernut bread is a lovely make-ahead bread to serve at your picnic on Saturday and also to serve on Sunday at Father’s Day Brunch. Since bread is de rigueur in these occasions and goes with everything, you can’t go wrong with this paleo recipe! I recommend eating it open-faced and topped with your favorite accompaniments such as cold cuts, veggies, condiments, cheeses, etc.; you can go sweet or savory. For those of you already in love with tigernuts, try topping your bread with this delicious tigernut pesto and some tomato and you have yourself a nutrient-dense sandwich! I also recommend bringing tigernut horchata to your picnic. This paleo, gluten-free, and dairy-free drink by the same company comes in different flavors such as coffee, green, chocolate, strawberry, banana, unsweetened and original. Their horchata contains no added sugar and is cold-pressed to retain the full nutritional and health benefits of this superfood. Super refreshing; try it and you will not regret it!
You’ll definitely want to visit the Organic Gemini website to purchase your tigernut products. For PaleOmazing readers, they are offering a 15% off discount off everything at their site: www.OrganicGemini.com. You simply use coupon code “PaleoVegan” at checkout. This code is good now and for as long as you are reading this on my site. A terrific deal!
I hope you really enjoy this delightful and unique bread alternative. It really complements paleo meals beautifully. Let me know how yours turns out!
