Since going paleo, I’ve really gotten into paleo smoothies as a delicious way to sneak live, raw greens into my diet. This healthy banana smoothie is a great example of how you can make greens like spirulina and kale taste so delicious that even the kids will devour them!
When I grew up, I remember coming home from school every day and having junk drinks like cola or even root beer floats. How did I function with all that sugar in my body? I don’t even know! Luckily, these days, with everything we know about nutrition, we can give our kids yummy AND healthy paleo green drinks like this smoothie. They will LOVE it! Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon raw spirulina
- 1 ripe banana
- ½ cup curly kale
- ¾ cup water
- ½ – ¾ cup ice
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients together.
- Add your desired amount of ice.
- Blend again in blender on high.
- Enjoy!
