With Halloween right around the corner I wanted to come up with a recipe that wasn’t only delicious but also could be a warm and tasty treat for all of the adults on Halloween. With all the kids running around you are going to need a little boost of energy and this coconut coffee latte does just that. Sweet but not too sweet and nice and thick so you can sip it or eat it with a spoon.
This recipe can be made just as easily with cold press coffee warmed up, which I often recommend for those who find the acidity of coffee hurts their tummies. The cold press process lowers the acid level and produces great flavor! It’s sweeter and less bitter, which many love. It is very simple to cold press your own and you can see my cold press coffee recipe for guidance.
You might also consider making your latte Bulletproof as an added bonus! MCT Oil, Brain Octane or even some raw coconut oil in your coffee has such great effects on your energy, mental clarity and brain health. This will probably help you make it through Halloween in one piece 🙂 You can read more about brain health and the paleo diet in my eBook recently released: How Grains Affect Mental Clarity and Your Brain!
Coffee has been found to be antioxidant-rich, beneficial for your liver and can increase athletic performance. Also, it’s just plain delicious! Enjoy this recipe this holiday season. I know I will be drinking one of these while passing out candy until the wee hours.
Feel free to make some homemade whipped cream with coconut or regular cream depending on your preference and top with a couple of espresso beans to make it look like a pro made it.
You can add some cocoa powder to the mix as well for a little mocha play on flavors.
Now enjoy and check out my paleo baked goods recipes for something to serve alongside!
