Easy Mango Turmeric Ice Cream

Easy Mango Turmeric Ice Cream

If you know me, you know I love ethnic food and spices and I am really a turmeric lover. The benefits of turmeric are really great for your body and this is an extremely easy, healthy recipe for adding more turmeric into your paleo diet.

You can get your hands on healthy, brightly-flavored mango year round in the frozen section of most markets to make this treat any time of the year. I really enjoy the added coconut flakes on top for an extra little crunch and flavor. I use the unsweetened type as many coconut flakes are soaked in a sugary mixture, which is definitely not needed for our bodies or our taste buds!

On top of the coconut and the turmeric benefits, the mango in this recipe provides antioxidants, fiber, and vitamins C, A and E. All of these things are good for the skin, eye health and help in lowering cholesterol, just to name a few. Overall, this recipe is not only wonderful in clean, fresh flavors; it really gives you a lot that your body will love you for!

This recipe is really meant to be eaten right away and not frozen as it gets rather solid once frozen. That is the reason it is made in such a small batch. You can whip this up very quickly to enjoy as a quick dessert or mid-day snack – guilt-free. For more frozen treats check out my paleo fudgesicles, which are a favorite of many and so easy to make!
