Cumin Spiced Sweet Potato Fries

Description

Healthy, readily available snacks are a must when eating according to the paleo diet. With that said, these paleo cumin spiced fries are made with sweet potatoes and spiced with vibrant flavors. Paired with a creamy avocado garlic dipping sauce, this easy to make paleo dish makes for a delicious healthy snack or side dish.


Ingredients

  • SWEET POTATO FRIES
  • 3 medium sweet potatoes
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 ½ tablespoons cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon black pepper
  • AVOCADO GARLIC DIPPING SAUCE
  • 1/2 cup guacamole or avocado
  • 1/4 cup paleo-friendly mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 small cloves of garlic
  • sprinkle of salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. SWEET POTATO FRIES
  2. Preheat the oven to 350F degrees.
  3. Line a standard baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Cut the sweet potatoes into fourths lengthwise and then again into strips, to make the fries.
  5. Toss the sweet potatoes in the seasonings and olive oil.
  6. Spread the sweet potatoes out on the baking sheet.
  7. Place in the oven and cook for 1 hour.
  8. AVOCADO GARLIC DIPPING SAUCE
  9. Place all of the ingredients into a food processor.
  10. Mix together until completely smooth.
  11. Serve alongside the fries.
  12. Enjoy!
