Description
Healthy, readily available snacks are a must when eating according to the paleo diet. With that said, these paleo cumin spiced fries are made with sweet potatoes and spiced with vibrant flavors. Paired with a creamy avocado garlic dipping sauce, this easy to make paleo dish makes for a delicious healthy snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- SWEET POTATO FRIES
- 3 medium sweet potatoes
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 ½ tablespoons cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- 1/3 teaspoon black pepper
- AVOCADO GARLIC DIPPING SAUCE
- 1/2 cup guacamole or avocado
- 1/4 cup paleo-friendly mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 small cloves of garlic
- sprinkle of salt & pepper
Instructions
- SWEET POTATO FRIES
- Preheat the oven to 350F degrees.
- Line a standard baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the sweet potatoes into fourths lengthwise and then again into strips, to make the fries.
- Toss the sweet potatoes in the seasonings and olive oil.
- Spread the sweet potatoes out on the baking sheet.
- Place in the oven and cook for 1 hour.
- AVOCADO GARLIC DIPPING SAUCE
- Place all of the ingredients into a food processor.
- Mix together until completely smooth.
- Serve alongside the fries.
