These paleo cumin spiced fries are made with sweet potatoes and spiced with vibrant flavors. Paired with a creamy avocado garlic dipping sauce, this easy to make paleo dish makes for a delicious healthy snack or side dish.
Healthy, readily available snacks are a must when eating according to the paleo diet. I mean just because we eat amazingly delicious meats and piles of fresh produce doesn’t mean we get a craving for something “snacky” every once in a while. I mean, a girl’s gotta eat something fun once in a while. I have found that the key to turning the paleo diet into a lifestyle is creating a balance in everything… this includes snacking occasions. Creating a lifestyle that expands possibilities and makes it easy to get excited about eating healthy is always the best way to stick to your health goals! I have been eating according to the paleo diet for three years now and it’s a rare day that I actually miss anything that I used to eat. Having easy-to-make yummy tasting options for snacks and sweet treats allows me to keep making healthy choices, feel great, and enjoy the food I am eating.
I absolutely love sweet potatoes!! I mean, I can’t say it enough. Yes, they are sweet and taste amazing when baked until their caramel juices bubble over, but sweet potatoes also have many health benefits! Great for balancing hormones and low(er) on the carb scale (compared to regular potatoes, chips, etc.). Sweet potatoes are dense in nutrients, so you can feel great about snacking on some fries from time to time. I love these cumin spiced fries served alongside any dinner dish or simply by themselves. Cold or warm out of the oven, these primal inspired fries are easy to make and will leave you wanting more. My family totally loves these fries and they beg me to make them often. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
About the sauce! I stumbled upon this creamy avocado garlic dipping sauce a few years ago when I was experimenting with making cumin-inspired salad dressings. Since that day I have been attached. Not only is it absolutely delicious, but it’s simple, raw, paleo and vegan. Serving this creamy dipping sauce with veggie slices or grilled chicken breast is always a great idea too!
