Energy Shake

Energy Shake

Sometimes we need a little paleo boost to get the day going. I usually get this from my bulletproof coffee, but everyone has his or her preferred method. When my daughter was pregnant, she decided to stay off of all caffeine for the 9 months…as a result, this delicious paleo energy shake is what she came up with for her “boost”.

The health benefits of the superfood pitaya mixed with the good bacteria of the coconut kefir are sure to give your body one heck of a nutritional ride. You can use whatever protein source you prefer to add. Perhaps (like my daughter used) organic, unsweetened grass-fed whey may be the right choice for you. But use whatever type of protein works well with your body.

This shake not only gives you that boost but it also gives you that much needed paleo breakfast for when you’re on the go. And if you really want to punch things up and aren’t in a big rush, enjoy this shake with my healthy mcmuff’n breakfast stacker. Delicous!
