Contrary to what you may have heard, the paleo diet isn’t just beef and bacon. Vegetables are a very important part of the paleo diet and are important for our health. Brussels sprouts really got popular a couple years back and now I see them all over grocery stores and many recipes using them.
The baking in this recipe will help you cook them just right in case any of you have trouble with brussels sprout cookin’. You can make this recipe with whatever dipping sauce you want but I recommend a few dips below.
They are an excellent source of vitamin C and vitamin K. They are also a very good source of numerous nutrients including folate, B1, potassium and the list goes on. I try to get as many of my vitamins from food, and brussels sprouts are a great way to achieve this. This is especially useful around the holidays when so many tend to fall victim to that holiday flu.
This recipe does really well as a side dish especially with a delicious paleo fish recipe.
