Curcumin

Curcumin

Many of you have probably heard of and cooked with turmeric before. Personally, I love incorporating it into my family meals, as turmeric benefits are amazing! Not only does the spice add color and flavor to my recipes, but it has a tremendous amount of health benefits. Being on the paleo diet, like you, I find it important to do research on what I put into my body, and when researching turmeric, there shouldn’t be much stopping you from adding it to your grocery list.

Now, the health benefits must be coming from somewhere right? Curcumin is an ingredient within turmeric and is what is at the root of the benefits. Curcumin is also what gives turmeric the distinct orange-ish color. Curcumin is also an antioxidant and is an anti-inflammatory! Curcumin has been seen as something that may help with diabetes. Having diabetes means that there is too much blood sugar and the enzymes that make-up curcumin potentially decrease the levels and alleviate symptoms.

Sounds quite magical so far…right? Well, there is absolutely more that this wondrous supplement can do. As far as the circulatory system goes, the intake of curcumin has been found to reduce the risk of atherosclerosis, as it decreases plaque buildup. Depression and arthritis are also classified as something that can be helped through curcumin. It truly is amazing that something seemingly so simple has all sorts of superpowers.

For those that may be concerned about the aging process, this supplement has also been found to delay aging as well as fight chronic age-related diseases. While still in the realm of aging, it also is said that curcumin can be linked to improved brain function and a lower risk of potential brain diseases.

When hearing all these amazing benefits, my ears surely perked up, and I knew I needed to share with you all! Now, one important thing to note with this discussion is that when taking curcumin, in either a capsule or powdered form, you are not going to be reaping the full benefits. Only some will actually make it through to the intestines to be absorbed. The oral ingestion is not effective and will not give you what you are looking for.

There is a solution! If you were all excited by the benefits but put back by the fact that the oral capsules get poorly absorbed, there is great news! What you are looking for is Liposomal curcumin. The liposomal structure is able to protect the curcumin so that it is able to be fully absorbed by your body. No more loss of all the wonderful benefits.

The list does go on for the benefits that are offered by curcumin, and the liposomal curcumin in specific. Those of you who lead a healthy lifestyle and desire such health benefits should absolutely give this a try. If you are looking to buy this product, I personally enjoy using either MannaBoost or  CoreMedScience Liposomal Curcumin. Allow yourself the chance to try something new and see what you think! It is time to give back to your body! Any questions, just ask me!
